Course 04

Pet First Aid & CPR

Extend crucial emergency response skills to your furry family members, with techniques built specifically for animals.

The same steadiness, aimed at a different patient

This class extends crucial emergency response skills to your furry family members. It covers techniques specific to pets, including CPR and injury response for animals, so you are not trying to adapt human-focused training to a dog or cat in the moment it actually matters. A reviewer who had already taken our CPR class said she planned to sign up for this one too, once she learned it existed.

Who this is for

Pet owners who want the same confidence for their animals that they have for their family, plus groomers and boarding or daycare staff who are responsible for other people's pets all day. Sessions are arranged for individuals or for a whole team.

Responder Ready, Accredited by American Trauma Event Management and EMS Safety Services. Call (503) 351-4385.

What it covers

Techniques built for animals, not adapted from human training

Pet CPR

Compressions and rescue breaths adjusted for an animal's anatomy, practiced with guided instruction rather than left to guesswork.

Injury response

Handling common injuries safely, including how to keep yourself and the animal calm while you help.

Accredited by American Trauma Event Management and EMS Safety Services, and our instructors bring the same emergency medicine and rescue backgrounds to this course that they bring to every other one we teach.

From a reviewer

“I like that they also offer classes for pet CPR and first aid as well so I might sign up for that too.”
